We have had a lot of fun in recent years on White Pond in upper Putnam county, and some other local lakes. Do you want to be notified by email when White Pond is suitable for skating? Eastcoast Speedskating Club will send out emails to anyone who wants to know. Email: and sent her a brief note. Put "White Pond Email Update" in the subject line. And then expect an email when the ice is black and smooth and thick!
There is no downside to this offer. You won't be put on any other mailing lists. We won't sell your email address... we don't even know how to do that. Just the possibility of a great day of skating or a healthful family outing! Click here for more info, pictures, directions, and a map.
